The 180 Day rule.

This is just to let you guys know who are daring to take chances with the 180 day rule. My advice \'please don\'t.\' It is pure luck. but, Don\'t loose heart.
I am not too sure about the 180 day job change rule because I just recieved a notice of action asking for an employment letter, specifically wanted from the company that had done your I-140. My App. I485 is about one year old and 180 day rule was applicable to me. ND May 2000 Country pakistan. Let me know the response time on RFE. good luck to all.

The 180 day job change ( AC21) was passed on Oct 17 2000. So those who changed jobs after that date should be fine.
For those who changed jobs before Oct 17 2000 should be ok with an i140 amendment.
The question now is that "Is the rule is in effect retro actively ". Everybody is waiting for INS regulation regarding this.

In your case i guess you must be having 6 weeks to reply for the rfe.Please consult with your lawyer
about it.
