I have been visiting this forum regularly to better understand various things that I need to pay attention to, while applying for my U.S. citizenship. I just got my citizenship earlier this week, and the whole process took about 4 months. I'd like to thank everyone who posts their information on this forum - learning from your inputs and experiences was extremely helpful. I was applying from the Detroit office and here's my timeline
Application date: 04/17/2006
Finger-printing date: 06/02/2006
Interview Date: 08/03/2006
Oath Date: 08/14/2006
My wife also applied at the same time, and her dates were also exactly the same. The entire process went of quite smoothly. I even travelled out of the country 2 times during this period and had no problems.
