Terrible Infopass experience

Our EADs expired on June 9th. We filed for our 3rd EAD/AP extns at NSC on April 4th and hence 90 days are not yet done. We were out of country for 2 month so for fear of being out of country when APs are in process, we filed these applications after coming back. Out bad..

However we thought of giving it a try at INFOPASS at San Jose DO, just in case someone lends an ear to our plight. My wife had to abandon work because of this lapse.

The guy who prescreens the inforpass at first window, simply told us not to waste their time and just asked us to get out of there. He wasnt ready to hear a word since 90 days havent passed since our applications were filed.. Such pathetic service.. Atleast they could have heard us a bit!!

I was there too this morning for enquiring about our EAD (first time) which was pending for more than 90 days. There was a lady at the counter who was having very difficult time in speaking English. She simply looked into her computer and said the case is pending and she cannot do anything. She asked us to call up the 1-800 customer service number as if we did not know. I was so pissed off. When we reached home we called the 1-800 number and to our pleasant surprise the EAD was approved and card production was ordered on 8th June which is incidentally the 88th day since we filed our EAD. I swear by god that the online system was not updated till yesterday midnight PST. One more twist to the case: The CRIS email was sent out to me at 6.48AM. So, I wonder what the hell the lady at the counter really looked at when se said to me that the case was pending. I am not sure if I will go for InfoPass ever again.
