Has anyone traveled to Canada and found a job while there and completed the application to change status (form IMM1249)? I have over 12 years experience with a worlwide slot machine manufacturer in every aspect from assembly to now Quality Engineering. I'm planning on heading out to the Toronto area (my girlfriend lives in Stoney Creek) and submitting my Resume to any and every place that has a manufacturing type environment and I'm thinking of turining in my resume to OLGC. Any help or advice would be appreciated. We are planing on submitting our paperwork as common law after I have been there for one year. I have heard it's near impossible to have the conjugal partner application approved as they scrutinize them more than any other application. We want to get married but we want to do that the right way.
