I recently transferred my H1 from one employer to another employer and I also got an H1 extension and I-94 validity until Nov-2009.
My Initial H1 B Visa petetion and I-94 is expiring ON 29th Jan 2007.
I want to get my H1 Stamped from Canada and want to re-enter from Canada.
I have booked a Visa appointment on 30th January 2007 in Ottawa.
I need to apply for a Visitor for Canada to go for th stamping.I am thinking of applying for Temporary / Visitor Visa at Bufallo consulate.
I have the following questions regarding Temporary Visa / Visitors Visa.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1) What are the documents required for applying for temporary Visa?
2) Do we need to send our original passport to obtain the Temporary/Vistor Visa?
3) How long It would take to obtain a temporary/Vistor's Visa?
4)If I mail the documents which courier is the best way ?(USPS, UPS, DHL, FED-EX)?
5)In the application form for TRV form 5257-->Question 13 SAYS that " In the past 5 years do you or any of your family members stayed in a country other than your country of permanent residency/other than your country of citizen? If Yes pls give the length of Stay?
Our Permamnet Resident country is India and We have been Living in USA for the past 3 years. I went to India once and my wife went to India twice.
we need to fill From Date and To Date for this question.
How should we answer this question?
6) for proof of Income , can I submit the paystubs from my earlier employee?
I have the following questions regarding H1-B stamping in Canada Ottawa:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Is there any risk involved in getting H1 B stamping from Ottawa Canada?(This is my second H1 stamping, I got it stamped once through my earlier employer, now I got my H1 transferred and going for stamping again)
2) Is it better to go o India (Chennai consulate ) to get the stamping?
3) what are the questions asked generally?
4) How long it will take to return the passport if Visa is approved?
If anyone can help me , it would really really great....I really appreciate your help on this...
