...got through and got dissapointed...
...got to talk to a guy (presumably IO) who was pretty irked to have to talk to me.
I was told that "his office" only works with recently approved cases, and that my legal representatives should communicate these things to me, not him or "his office"...
He then proceeded to ask EXACTLY what the nature of my inquiry might be. When I said "well, I want to know what is holding my case up, I am well within the processing time and case has been pending for 6+ months", he proceeded on to say that he might be able to help me but that I had to tell him SPECIFICALLY what I was interested in.
Now listen to this:
Security check - not good enough- "there are all kinds of checks, Sir, cannot help you"
Name check-not good enough-"name check, fingerprinting, what are you asking me about?"
FBI Name check- "Oh, now we're in business, because you have to be SPECIFIC and my office has recently gotten clearance to see some of that info"
It took a couple of minutes of awkward silence until he proceeded "Well, Sir, unfortunately, your case has been sent to an appropriate agency and they are working on it. However, we have to ask you to bear with us because these things normally take a very short time to resolve, but if sent outside, it may take several years to resolve this. Let me check if there are any other issues...no, this is the primary issue, you have to bear with us and your legal representatives as your primary contact should get some kind of document in about three months."
When I asked if he could tell me AS OF WHEN my case has been in NC, he simply replied "This is irrelevant to you and we do not give out this info to public (not true). What is relevant is that an appropriate agency has received your file and are working on it.."
More "bear with us, blah, blah, at which point I was pretty disheartened and simply said "thank you for your help" and hung up...
It seems I have somehow entered the Twilight Zone of NSC...

Any similar experiences????
