...for those of you online right now, please use POJ method to try and access your case....
When I enter my case number I am getting an automated message that there is a temporary problem in the system preventing the access to my file. Does this mean they are updating status or is it just merely a glitch in the system. I tried 3 times within 20 minutes and the same message was played...

If you can, please check and confirm...

Thanks,

...got through and got dissapointed...

...got to talk to a guy (presumably IO) who was pretty irked to have to talk to me.
I was told that "his office" only works with recently approved cases, and that my legal representatives should communicate these things to me, not him or "his office"...
He then proceeded to ask EXACTLY what the nature of my inquiry might be. When I said "well, I want to know what is holding my case up, I am well within the processing time and case has been pending for 6+ months", he proceeded on to say that he might be able to help me but that I had to tell him SPECIFICALLY what I was interested in.
Now listen to this:
Security check - not good enough- "there are all kinds of checks, Sir, cannot help you"
Name check-not good enough-"name check, fingerprinting, what are you asking me about?"
FBI Name check- "Oh, now we're in business, because you have to be SPECIFIC and my office has recently gotten clearance to see some of that info"
It took a couple of minutes of awkward silence until he proceeded "Well, Sir, unfortunately, your case has been sent to an appropriate agency and they are working on it. However, we have to ask you to bear with us because these things normally take a very short time to resolve, but if sent outside, it may take several years to resolve this. Let me check if there are any other issues...no, this is the primary issue, you have to bear with us and your legal representatives as your primary contact should get some kind of document in about three months."

When I asked if he could tell me AS OF WHEN my case has been in NC, he simply replied "This is irrelevant to you and we do not give out this info to public (not true). What is relevant is that an appropriate agency has received your file and are working on it.."

More "bear with us, blah, blah, at which point I was pretty disheartened and simply said "thank you for your help" and hung up...

It seems I have somehow entered the Twilight Zone of NSC...:(:(

Any similar experiences????

come on. Don't be disheartened.
Don't be sad. And Do not believe everything you hear.
And believe in yourself.
weekend is here and do not ruin it for your self.
You are just impacting yourself only and your nears.
Wan't to share your case details?

here they are...

...don't know I never added them to the signature:

Original case filed under EB3 RIR ROW
RD 2/2002
I-140 approved 3/2005
I-485 never filed, backlog elimination center hell...

Case re-filed under EB2 ROW ,labor through PERM 8/2006, approved right away
I-140/485 RD 1/26/2007
I-140 AD 8/8/2007
I-485 pending LUD 4/10/2007

...same for my wife, but I-485 LUD 3/17/2007 (day after FP appointment)

Thank you for the kind words...I have known about being stuck in NC for a while. However, I wasn't smart enough to ask the nice lady I talked to about when my NC has been initiated. I am sure I could have gotten that info which would be very helpful in the future in case I need to file WOM at some point in time...

NC is initiated in a week or so after your 485 is filed, so the good thing is u havent been stuck in NC for as long as some of us here.....

besides that the NC is sent to the FBI for everyone so that is the outside agency and yes they can not do ne thing about it

other than tht u just spoke to some one who was a jerk thts all

sometimes u get very polite and considerate I/Os and sometimes u get jerks

Its not in ur control my friend, raise SRs, write to ombudsman, senators etc and keep a record of when u called NSC and if u can note down the name and the ID number of the I/O u spoke to (u can ask for it) ............this can all help in the eventual WOM

my lawyer told me they usually wait 2 yrs (after filing 485) to have a good WOM case........on some sites i have red ppl have succesfully filed WOM after 1 yr of 485 and have had success
