I was so happy to see my fingerprint and AOS interview letter after waiting for 15 months since i filed I30/I485 at the locas INS office. My fingerprint is scheduled to be next month and interview is scheduled to be in May.
But i am in the situation now below.

We are temporarily moving to a new state for six months because of employment change. We have house here and we are giving it for rent and will come back after 8 months. But my AOS interview is scheduled to be before i come back.In this situation,
Do i need to transfer my case to the new state ? I am sure that INS will ask for the utility or phone bills at the time of AOS which i will not have since our house is being rented at the
time of AOS interview.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

This is surely a tough situation to be in. You dont really have to transfer the case, since it is a temp move. Besides, if you transfer the case, it very well might take more than 8 months to get an interview at the new location. May be even more than a year. It is only 4 months away. I have heard of instances where INS has lost the file in the transfer. As far as the interview goes, you dont have to produce utility bills for the month before. You can get away by showing bills 4 months old. Besides, the biggest proof could be your mortgage payment for the latest month, since you are only renting the house. I would personally come back to the INS at ur current location in May. INS will be going thru all kinds of changes this year with it being shifted to homeland security. AOS interviews are not free for the asking. I sure would not let one slip by.
