Temporary i-551 issue, help~!

Hi,
I am an new immigrant.
In the middle of last year i got the temporary i-551 in US.
I was informed the formal Green Card will be delivered to me in this year, I am now waitting for this.

To deal some personal matters, now i have returned to my homeland,China.
The problems happened when i were going to return to US.
Chinese Custom rejected me to aborad the plane to US!
They told me my Visa was expired, and they could not let me to aborad the plane even temporay I-551 is valid, and they asked me reapply a US Visa from US Consulate.

My questions are:
Temporary I-551 is not to enter US?
Do i need to reapply a Visa?
Will i meet problems when i enter US with temp i-551?
What should I do?

Can anybody please help me!

Get a letter from US Consulate

Simple solution:

Go to US consulate in Beijing, and request a letter from the US consulate attesting to your clearance to enter the United States on your temporary I-551 stamp in your passport. In the letter, it should state that this is a an equivalent of an actual greencard and you will be allowed to enter the US. :(

Use this letter while dealing with Chinese authorities, but I know those chinese authorities, they can just give you a hard time for taking a picture of the red square :rolleyes: Since you are Chinese, immigration to the US is a hot topic and be careful because this could be a ploy to frustrate you..:(

However, I hope that your plastic card in the US wasn't returned to the NBC as undeliverable because you seems to have been away from the US for some time. :D I wish you all the best...:D

I am now contacting US consulate in Beijing.
They also told me Chinese Custom should not prevent reenter US, and one solution is apply for transportation letters.

I am also trying to apeal against the Chinese custom's decision.

I think I already know where the problem is:
My temporary hasn't temporary I-551 stamp:( , instead it includes the following statement :
"UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR."

The pleading from Chinese custom is:
US hasn't infomed them the new I-551 is valid to enter US.
So it's the problem of US.

That's ridiculous!:(
