Temporary EAD Question

Hi Guys,

Can one get a second temporary EAD from the local INS office. In my case it is Phoenix.

I applied for the EAD card renewal in April 2003. After several referrals to the case, finally got an RFE in December. The RFE was replied on 12/30/03 (notice date). Haven't received any word on this yet.

In the mean time, I got a temporary EAD for 8 months. It will be expiring in a couple of months. Do they issue a second temporary EAD card.

Is this a policy to issue EAD again? Do you have a source for this information or have you seen any body else get a second temporary EAD card.

Also, how many days after the RFE response can one get a EAD from the local office.

Source of Information.....

I got an iEAD for 4 months an year ago and was asked to come back to get another one if my original EAD with the Service Center doesn't get approved by then.My EAD was approved a month later and I didn't have to go back to get my iEAD extended.
