Hi, I am on dependent TD Status. I was successful in getting a job, My question
1. Should I travel to back to Canada to Change Status to TN or can I go to Mexico Border which is close by?
2. Should my application for TN Visa be denied, will I be allowed to re-enter US and What will happen to my current TD Status?
 
You can go to Mexico POE to request TN status. The San Ysidro POE near San Diego, CA is very familiar with Canadian Citizens applying for TN status. You can park in the shopping mall or paid parking lots nearby and walk to POE.
If denied TN, you should be able to enter on TD status. (your spouse TN is not related to your TN request)
