TD Status extention applied-Grace Period

My wife applied for TD extention in July 2007 by I-539 , where as her last status expired(TD & I-94) in Oct 2007.

She received acknowledgment & since then still waiting for approval (case status shows as pending)

How long she can stay in USA waiting for any decision, is it same 240 days ?

Yrs, 240 days past expiry, so approx June. However I-539s do not typically take this long. She should call USCIS.
