TD - marriage certificate

I am working on a TN and my family is still in Canada. I am trying to get TD for my wife soon but we were not born in Canada and married either in Canada. I know I can get it from my mother country. But I thought Canadian government must have information regarding our marriage status. Is there any way to get it in Canada?

You'll need to get proof of marriage from the original jurisdiction.
