TD for dependents at Canada land border on weekends

Hi Everyone,

We are in US and I recently got my TN extension at Toronto Pearson Airport. My dependents have TD till Oct 2024 (based on my first TN). We are planning to travel over the weekend to Niagara/Buffalo land border to extend TD status for my dependents (Canadian Citizens).
  1. Can we just cross the border into Canada and return back immediately to get their TD stamped?
  2. Can I go over the weekend to get TD for dependents?
  3. And do I need appointment for TD status?
