Tax Transcripts For State ??

Do we need to get tax transcripts even from state for CP??

I have obtained tax transcripts from IRS ( federal) for the last three years.
Do we need to get any thing from state too???
Sucessful CPERS please respond.If so, whats the procedure.

You are fine!!!

There is no need to obtain state tax transcripts (I do not think there is a process). All you need is Federal Tax transcripts/ Returns for 3 years.
 
i am not sure whether required or not

but if you want to get then look for your state web site, they must have a number to call them to request transcript.

Yes I did that .i need to send a mail to dept for state tax trancripts..there is no number for automated service..atleast not in my state..

but the problem is unlike federal , they dont give it on a letter head .it does not look authentic..its just a computer printout..

so i think I might just not take it..i am planning to visit a state tax office close to my place..let us see if they can help me out..

so i think we can very well conclude that state transcripts are not needed..and all we need is federal transcripts..

that should end our confusions..
probably it would be wiser to carry our state filings..incase they ask us..but I dont think that would be the case..
