Tax Returns by RFE

Back to 2 months ago, I got RFE requesting tax return for year 2000, 2001, and 2002. As have no copy for year 2000, have to request from IRS. It's said could take up to 60 days, right now it's 59th day, still did not get the copy from IRS. Called the 1-800-829-1040 number 10+ times, everytime they said have to wait 60 days. No useful information at all.

Any one ever requested tax return copies from IRS? How long it takes to get the copy? Any other phone numbers or emails can inquire the status? Pls share your experience...

i think they ask for last 3 years tax return..

you could file the return for 2003 and send for 2001, 2002 and 2003, may be.
 
I have requested transcripts, but BCIS need copies of tax return, I don't think transcripts will work. If can not get the copy, before the reply date, will use transcripts, and includes tax return for 2003.
