Hi guys,

While waiting for my P4 from consulate.I want to start working on gathering all the required documents for the interview.Tax return is one such issue.

I am working for the company X in india, and was in US company X in 2000,2001,2002 ( around 2 years)and returned to india operation in mid of 2002 and still working here.I have W2s for 200,2001,2002 and didn't file any return for 2003.Will it be a problem?Should I file no-income at IRS?Or my tax-returns in india is sufficient.

If you have not earned any income in US for the year 2003,
then you are not expected to file any return (my opinion only,
and tax experts may differ ).

However, for the earlier years 2000 to 2002 , I hope you have
collected the tax transcripts from the IRS. If not, you may not
have time to do so. Atleast you would have the filing copies of
these returns.

Carrying the tax papers from India may be a good idea to
establish the fact that you are currently employed with your
sponsor.
