Tax form? Went from F1 to H1 in 2004

Hello

I went from F1 to H1 in 2004. H1 time started on Oct 1, 2004. Do I file taxes as a non-resident that is 1040 NR? Assume that I don't satisfy the substantial presence test.

I think you can file 1040NR.I transfer my J-1 to H-1 and now i have the same problem.We are exempt from substantial present test for these days on F-1 and J-1 visa.!!
If anyone can give us advice , please!!!!!
