Thanks. Medicals are valid for a year, as far as I know. We received our second letter back in June. I'm doing AOS, so our second letter just acknowledges our intent of doing AOS, that's all.

Hi,

November bulletin is out:

Except:
Egypt: 9,100

Hi guys,

Just wanted to update my status. Looks like our AOS application is moving on.

Anyone has an interview anytime soon?

An update on latest numbers:

C. ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF THE DIVERSITY (DV) IMMIGRANT CATEGORY RANK CUT-OFFS WHICH WILL APPLY IN MARCH

For March, immigrant numbers in the DV category are available to qualified DV-2010 applicants chargeable to all regions/eligible countries as follows. When an allocation cut-off number is shown, visas are available only for applicants with DV regional lottery rank numbers BELOW the specified allocation cut-off number:

Region All DV Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed Separately
AFRICA 29,600 Except:
Egypt: 18,000
Ethiopia: 16,950
Nigeria: 14,350

****************************************

Numbers seem to be moving very fast.

Also, very interesting is this webpage, which seems to suggest that every year for the last ten years or so (except in 2003, when they must have used up some NACARA visas), they have not used the full allocation of 50,000 visas - which means that if you had the correct documents (no issues), and are prepared to pay the fees, then the visas were always issued. Any alternative interpretation?? If this is so, then hope for all of us!

Cannot post URLs so please add the necessary before the address: travel.state.gov/pdf/FY09AnnualReport_TableVII.pdf

lets wait.....our time will surely comeand through the grace of God our blessing is surely waiting for us to pick it hope you are following keenly on the Nigerian and Ghanian threads on their interview Xpiriences .....

PLEASE HELP! PLEASE HELP!! PLEASE HELP!!! I was among those selected for the Dv2010. I was conscious of the requirements for the application and eligibility. And i was aware that the minimum requirement for the education qualification is at least 5 credits at ordinary level GCE/WAEC certificate.

However to demonstrate i was eminently qualified to be granted visa, i provided not only my WAEC certificate which shows i had 6 credits at one sitting include English language and mathematics and also my university degree certificate as a graduate of Banking and Finance from Lagos state university in Nigeria in order to satisfy his curiosity, the interviewing consular officer asked me questions on my PROJECT which i wrote in the year 2007 and what i understood about the roles of a Central Bank in a country and some question on MPV and Monetary policy which i answered all questions correctly. And the interviewing consular officer took on my wife to establish my claim of marriage and my wife presented the marriage certificate as well as the family photo album.

I will like if any one can help me to get an immigrant lawyer for my case. you can get intouch with through my mail incase you need my document. okun_fola@yahoo.com. remain bless people.

Congrats Daima for receiving the GC. You must be very happy ever!! Am waiting to be interviewed next week Tuesday
Am just praying everything to be fine.

Tk2010, Congratulations on having got so far!

Are you from Tanzania? It would be wonderful if you would share your experiences with us on this forum, so we get a sense of how things work in the US Embassy here. I am very excited, and nervous at the same time so every little bit helps.

Daima, well done! Hope your American Dream is as as satisfying as you wish it to be.

Just a reminder, apart from all the good folk who have provided their stories, is there nobody out there who is Tanzanian and has won the DV2010 lottery? There were over 200 people selected, please let us have your stories so far.

Thanks, still waiting :)
