I got my plastic card yesterday via USPS mail. USCIS had informed us that mine & my wife's card were mailed together. But mine reached almost a week later than hers.
Though the card & the letter from USCIS are intact, the envelope was badly damaged. It was clearly opened by someone before it reached my mail box. There is some writing on the envelope that’s been blacked-out. Luckily, there's no visible damage to the plastic card.
Given that someone had got hold of my plastic card & kept it for (at least) a few days -- is there a chance that someone could have tampered and/or misused the plastic card, before it reached me?
