Hi,
I have infopass appointment on Dec 1st to check the status of my interview schedule. I don't know about other DO's but Chicago DO is not good in providing meaningful Infopass service. Are we allowed to ask for a supervisor if the IO sitting there doesn't help us properly? If we are allowed, is it advisable to ask for the supervisor? Anybody with personal knowledge, please advice. Thanks.

Of course you're allowed to ask for a supervisor. You're the customer and USCIS is providing you with a service you have paid for.

Unless I have luck, the IO will parrot the same thing again i.e waiting for A# file and I have to wait. After that, I am expecting the IO to question me the purpose of a supervisor request and I am wondering about a good reason to justify my request. I am thinking of telling the IO that I am hoping the supervisor might take a look at my case little closer and make sure that the case did not get stuck in the system. You think that would work?

even if u call u have the right to ask for a supervisor . i had this before with no problem.

Considering your PD is getting close to posted processing time of 5 months, requesting to speak with a supervisor is not unusual.
If the IO doesn't provide you with any new information during Infopass, demand to speak with a supervisor. If IO questions why you want to speak with supervisor, just explain that you are concerned with lack of movement on your case and that you want to talk to supervisor about it in order to escalate the issue.

Thanks. I think I will do that. I will just tell the IO that the official processing time for Chicago DO is 5 months and I am 3 weeks short of that time and there is no interview scheduled until now and I don't see any movement in my case.

Best of luck. Hope it gets resolved.
