Talked to NSC IIO about FP - Just want to share

I dialed for about 10 -15 min got thru to NSC - had to wait 25-30 min to talk to an IIO.
She said that currently they are processing 12/00 cases and that my case will be assigned to an officer in about 5 mo.
I said I understand that and asked her about FP. She said that typically they issue FP notices about 2-3 months before they assign a case to an officer. She said if I don\'t recieve my FP notice by Feb/March I should call them back.

I told her that some of my friends who filed 485 after I did got their FP notices now. She said it is an automatic process and it doesn\'t matter. She also verified my address and said everything looks fine and that I should wait for it.

She was very courteous and friendly....

Nice of you to share your conversation with an IIO. It saved me a call. I think I am in the same boat as you are - RD-4/11/01 and ND-4/27/01. No FP yet. May be we should be getting it sometime this month. Thanks again!
