I just talked to an IIO ten minutes ago.

IIO told me my case was just moved from the shelf and will take 6-12 months for processing. When I asked that I saw most of the Aug. 99 cases got approved, he told me that each case is different, and although need 6-12 months from now, it could be earlier. Also asked for EAD (got approved on Oct 18, 2000), he said it takes 2-4 weeks to get the card from the approval date.

According to my experience, it is really pointless to ask an IIO how long they need to process the case. A few IIOs kept telling me holding my patience and I told them I fully appreciated their harding working, I was not pushing them, I had patience, bla, bla... What else could I say?

I have same ND as you. My RD is 8/5/99 and ND is 8/24/99, FP 7/19, EB1. Still waiting. IIO\'s answer does not tell us much information. This is already Nov 2000. We have already waited for 15 months ( = 450 days). If we have to wait another 6 months, then 15 + 6 = 21 months = 21 * 30 = 630 days >> 540 days.
