I Talked to an IIO in the morning(10 AM) and this is what he said:

"RFE was generated and the response received on 5th Nov and your case is in pending state. I was surprised as I was not aware of the RFE. Anyway IIO said, my lawyer seems to be doing good job"

As I got confused,I called up again and got through a Lady:

She said that my file got assigned to Officer today at 9 AM. When I talked about the RFE, she said there is no RFE as yet. When I asked whether she has all my papers like 140, FP etc, she said that they received my FP from FBI on 5th November.

Last time when I talked to IIO 2 months back, they already had my FP in file. So I guess they had sent my FP file for FBI check.

I hope this info helps.....

Happened in my case too

The IIO told me that when the officer requests and gets the Finger Prints, I-140 etc. the AVM interprets it as a received response for an RFE, even though no RFE was raised in the first place. Unfortunately, in my case they did actually raise an RFE on Nov 6th. I haven\'t received it yet though.

URGENT: CKGC and bon bon

Can you please tell me what your AVM message says at this time? Also do you remember what it said on Nov 3 or 4? I am curious to know if it says anything regarding an RFE or response to RFE. Granted it was an \'internal\' RFE for finger prints, but let\'s see if AVM says anything about it. Please do post here. Thanks for your help!

It still says that "On Oct 16th we received your response, etc.". Before Oct 17th it used to say that "This case cannot be Found". The IIO told me that soon it will change to "A request for further evidence has been generated on Nov 6th, etc." or something like that.

Hope that helps.

Does anyone have any idea whether the IIO records the number of times you call them and talk to them?

Yes! They do

Once my attorney called in morning for my wife\'s and then I called in evening ( I didn\'t know that lawyer called) and IIO told me why I was calling twice on the same day.
