Talked to IIO, says RFE issued,but AVM is still the same old message

Hi Guys,

My RD is 06/21/2002 and I spoke to IIO today. She told me that furthur evidence is needed for my case to get approved and also said that the
RFE will be sent to lawyer in 2 weeks. I asked her that my AVM still says
"Processing Resumed blah blah", and she told me that INS needed more evidence and said that once the RFE gets generated, the AVM will also
change.

Did anyone had the same experience. Please Share?

How long will it take for the RFE to get generated and when shall the
lawyer receive it.?
 
Waiting for 1 month.....

Same here. INS told us the RFE is being issued for me spouse on 4/2/02. Still waiting here. AVM never change.

The lady told me today that once the RFE gets generated, then the AVM will
change. Did she say the same thing for you.
 
She told me RFE is ordered and not generated yet...

My RD is 6/22/01. Already approved. My spouse has same RD date, waiting for approval.
We call INS on 4/27/02 again. Different IIO, she told us no mail has been sent out yet. Strange enough!?
Just wait and see....
 
What\'s the RFE about

For me, the lady told me that the spouse case is tied up with my case, so once
my case gets approved, the spouse case will get approved.

Did the lady tell you what the RFE was about? she did not tell me.

She refused to tell us anything...

She only said when we get it, we will know what to do...

Same here.

It think the officere who works on the case decides that he/she needs more info and
send a request to the RFE-generation department. I guess, the RFE geneartion dept
has a hug backlog, but once they generate it, we shall see our AVM getting changed

The other thing the lady told me that it is for best of me to apply for the renewal of
EAD, since she speculated this whole process can take 3-4 weeks. My EAD is
expiring in August, and I am really in two minds to spends more money to get the
EAD renewed.
 
The IIO told me that i will hear some news pretty soon, within a month (i called)

her last friday. Does it mean actually that there will be no RFE ??
What do you think ?
 
My spouse is going to renew EAD in May..

My spouse\'s EAD will expire in August. We will renew it in May.
It will cost some money, but it is worth.
 
Can Any one Help me regarding the EAD renewal.

I filed my I-485 on July 23 along with EAD, AP. both got approved on Oct 16, 2001. my EAD expires on Oct 16 2002. Since I processed my Adjustment of status through Law firm, they sent a letter for renewal of EAD and they are charging $1000 bucks for filing EAD. My Question are, can I file I-765 myself without going through law firm, what are the steps and fees, Is it a problem if I don\'t go through Law firm.
Please can any one reply me. thanks a lot

Have you file your AOS through law firm.
If I file myself, My Lawyer is going to create any problem? If not,
what are the steps and fees, please let me know
