Talked to IIO regarding REE I-140 redo

I talked to an IIO this morning. She said they are working on August 23rd cases and they treat both regular and amended(Re-filing) I-140 cases the same way. If she is right, I do not understand how lot of people, who filed in the October, are getting approvals.
My details: Filed Amended I-140(Successor in interest) in the first week of October

Today afternoon I also did talk to IIO. She was very nice but no useful info. She mentioned they are working on first half of August cases (I hope she was wrong) and did not tell me if my case is with the officer. She told she could not share that kind of info.

As you mentioned I do not see any October case approvals. Do you?

A friend of mine who filed Amended I-140 in the last week of October got approval in a week. His I-485 got approved in another 2 weeks!

IIO aren\'t of much help as far as I-140 is concerned. My I-140 amend.was filed on Sep 29th and got approved by Oct 24th. I also got my 485 approved by Nov 21st. So don\'t lose your heart. It will be approved soon. IIO can\'t tell you much with the extremely limited information they have. I-140 amendment is taken differently from the new I-140 and should be approved in 30-45 days.
