After my last talk with a rude and useless iio guy, I decided to call again. This one was real nice for a change.

However her infromation was contradictory to what that rude iio told me. The guy told me on 10/21 that my case is already assigned to an officer. When I had asked him when, he told me he cannot tell me that.

But today the woman mentioned my case was only assigned yesterday. Onviously you never know who to believe. But based on the sincerity in her voice I tend to believe she is right.

Also she mentioned the officer was assigned a bunch of cases at a time. I asked how many, she said 100. [Holy Macro! How in the world is that lazy dumbass bum going to get through those 100 cases??? - He will pass some of those to his kids and grandkids, because he has been screwing around in work time]

Anyway, she said your approval time will depend on where your case is [in that huge pile of sh**]

Tick Tock Tick Tock...

Also, she informed me that my EAD extension has been approved.
 
One more thing. I asked her if all the cases in that pile are September cases. She confirmed that all those cases are September cases with RD's on or before September 15th.

So, guys and gals, if you are Sep 01-15 RD's and still waiting - our decision could be in the hands of same officer's.
 
EAD Renewal

Hi Bobby,
Can you please give ur RD and Nd for EAD renewal and if possible your reciept no(if not in full atleast the first 10 digits), as my EAd has expired and waiting to get renewal approved

I sent my EAD extension application on 9/23
iio said INS received it on 9/30 (don't know if it RD or ND, I don't have the notice in front of me right now)
I got the notice in mail around 10/2-ish
AD is 10/23 according to IIO
Will wait for the new card

If your EAD has expired, then it may be a problem, because if you went from H1 to EAD then you can legally not work. What are your details?

I am on pins and needles right now. My EAD is going to expire end of this month and my RD for EAD renewal is same as Bobby's. I just talked to the IIO and got the same old answer as last week, case is assigned to the officer. This just sucks, VSC takes months to renew EAD's while as Boston is a walk-in process.
My 485 is still pending, INS rcvd RFE response on 08/20 and they are just sitting on it. At this time if I get my EAD approval before the end of this week I will be a happy camper.
This GC crap is a big mental and emotional burden.

Anyway have any of u applied for AP renewal, what documents do I need to send?

If I am reading it correctly, you got a RFE for EAD?

Sorry, I do not have my receipt number at work. IIo was able to tell just by my 485 receipt number.

My RFE is for photos and they recieved photos on SEP23.My fucking attorney screwed Up he didn't send the photos along with application.
 
vermont9, sorry to hear you got a RFE on EAD application. How difficult is it to file an EAD extension. This is the easiest application to file. Specially if it is for extension. These lawyers are pinheads. They are careless as it is not their status that is on the line. You should file a formal complaint about your lawyer in Better Business Bureau (after your case is settled). Keep all the details and paperwork, most cities have a BBB.

gcwait000, if your EAD RD was same as mine, you should hear something soon. Good Luck!
 
I am planning to file EAD on my own. Fucking Attorney want $ 150 for each application and additional $50 for the handling. I think both our application should be mailed together.

Any one applied for AP renewal please post details for the docs needed
 
Filing it yourself makes all the sense to me.

My company attorney is good in that sense. He helps me compile the application and I complete it and I fedex it and there is no charge. INS sends stuff to me so there is no middle channel. Plus I get the application fees re-imbursed.
 
Bobby V did you apply for AP renewal, Can you please tell me what all is needed.

And for EAD, both our applications should be in one mail and a check for $240 should be mailed with it. Please let me know if separate checks or mailing is required.
