Talked to an CSR@VSC - on Sept 13 at 3:30PM

Hi !

I just wanted to share this information with people who might be interested. I called VSC at 3PM and after waiting for 1/2 hour got to talk to a CSR at 3:30PM. My I-485 RD is 11/8/2000 and ND is 12/1/2000 (FP 4/25/01). A nice lady answered my questions.

CSR : Good afternoon, INS
Me : Good afternoon, My name is xxxxx, I would like to check the status of my I-485 application
CSR : Recepit number please
Me : blah blah blah
CSR : Name ?
Me : blah blah blah
CSR : Address ?
Me : again blah
CSR : Please wait
after 1 minute of wait
CSR : Your application is received on November 8th and currently we are processing November 1st applications. So you are very close.
Me : How much time ?
CSR : Probably a month and a half
ME : I would like check to see if my FP are OK
CSR : please wait.......
CSR : yup, they look fine. We received them on 4/27/01. Eerything looks OK
Me : Thank you very much for your time

So the VSC is functioning though I didnot see many approvals since the tragedy at WTC and Pentagon. So hang in there November/December filers. Our turn will come soon.
