As all of you know, BCIS just appointed a Citizenship and Immigration Ombudsman to reduce the backlog.

We would like to set a conferece call with this person some time.
Please vote the thread http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?threadid=93774

If we find enough ppl, we'll send petition to this Ombudsman
and try to set up a conference call with him, with all of you attending!!

Everybody can ask questions and pour your complaints.

Bad assumptions, not all of us knew that. I thought that their Backlog Reduction Team was charged with reducing the backlog...I also thought that Ombudsman generally is a supposedly impartial person who a customer can turn to as a negotiator for a very specific complaint. (Websters seems to agree with me : "A man who investigates complaints and mediates fair settlements, especially between aggrieved parties such as consumers or students and an institution or organization. ")

If what you state is in fact true, not only is BCIS going against their previously expressed plans, but are also re-defining "Ombudsman".

Please forgive my skepticism, but can you provide a link to the release?
