I talked to an IIO this morning. Both my and my wife\'s cases
were assigned to officer on 09/06/01. But on 09/19/01, my case
was send back to "location" because of the audit, while my wife\'s
case is still with the officer. I am the primary applicant.

The IIO did say they are working on January, 2000 cases.

VSV and uttine, anything new about your cases?

 When i spoke to IIO a week back he said my case is still with officer but my Finger Prints are expired so i need to get new FP notice...I have no idea how long it will take ????

Maybe it is the Audit

I had my case assigned to an Officer & the case was sent back to the Pool last Friday without any RFE etc(as per IIO).
I am now hoping that this was because of the Audit as is being suggested by this thread.

Audit and FP

I see so many cases have been approved with recently expired
FP. My FP expired on 09/09/01, so I was hoping...but now
I don\'t know...

The audit is just an annual regular thing. The IIO told me
they will send my case back to the officer after the audit.
I don\'t know if I can count on it...

There might be a lay-off coming soon in the company...
God help me...
 
Did u receive letter from INS reg 2nd FP ?

I do not beleive this IIO. Our cases were assigned on 09/14 and aprroved on 09/21.
The audit only started last week. Any file already with an officer is not
sent back during the audit. They temporarily freeze taking new cases off
the pool. There may be another reason in your case, probably the FP redo.
If you have old FP notice (original or courtesy), try and use it to get your
FP done at local ASC. This has worked in some cases. It is worth a try
instead of waiting on TSC.

Good news is that they are officially beyond July 99, so you can apply
senator pressure.
 
Recently expired FP

I remember you found out that TSC was clearing nearly expiring
or recently expired FP cases. Also somebody mentioned grace
period of FP. Both my and my wife\'s FPs expired on 09/09/01.
Do you know any case approved with FP expired more than one
month?

Strangely enough, my wife\'s case is still with the same officer.

All i did was to talk to the IIO to inform that my 1 FP had expired & the IIO sent a mail to his supervisor to send the 2 FP. It took 2 months from that time to get them.( Talked first in June 1st week & got the notice in 1 week of Aug)
I did Phone/fax again but used to get the standard reply "info sent to Supervisor & FP Notice would be sent when dates are available"

Try Congressman or Senator\'s office

Did the IIO ever call you back after taking your phone No.
last Friday? As mentioned by tsc0900, cases already with
officer should not be sent back to pool. You may want to
seek help from your Congressman or Senator\'s officer, since
TSC is processing Janunary 2000, they have to give you some
reason other than "we are currently processing July, 1999
cases". You did your second FP, no RFE, it seems your case
is air-tight.

My case was sent back to the pool, but my wife\'s case is
still with the same officer. I am the primary applicant.
The IIO suggested that I send fax the the examiner (she told
me the No. of the officer, #xx), to ask him/her get my
case too. Surprisingly, she said if I don\'t get an answer
in 2-3 days, just keep sending the fax. It seems that TSC
is becoming more and more accessible.
