Just completed 13 months of filing 485.


Talk to an IIO after redialing few times and after 10-12 minutes wait.

I gave my receipt number EAC-02-037-5XXXX and after a moment he replied your case is still not assigned to an officer.

As per his guess, it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Also he asked me to call again after couple of weeks to get a better idea (whether the case is assigned or not) as he could not tell right now.


Finally I hung up after saying thanks for the information.

This will be an eternal mystery to me. Why some sept. cases are not assigned even, while October- Nov cases been approved.

Not reaching to a decision can be understood, but why sept. files still keep laying eggs , God only knows.
