Takeover Question...please advise

I have the LC approved (this month). But now the company I work for (small) is in talks with another (big) company for a potential takeover/acquisition. I am concerned.

Question - Can my greencard process continue if the takeover goes ahead and my company is acquired? Are there any pre-conditions etc...

Also, should I push the company to file for 140/485 now (before acq) or later (after acq)??

Yes. If I140 has been filed, you need to file an amendment after acquisition. that is all, otherwise the new company can continue the GC.

The new Company has to agree to take over the sponsorship--it is not always a done deal!
If they agree no problem, as jaxen advises only an amendment stating that the new company is a "successor in interest" has to be filed.
