Hi everybody!
My mom is a green card holder, but she haven't been to the U.S. for about 1.5 years. In the coming August, 05, she would like to come visit us ( me and my sister, we study and work at the U.S., and going to be a critizen in 2006) this summer, but she worry that the immigration officer may take away her green card when she fly in the U.S.
Thus, some of her friends suggest that she may come to the U.S. from canada ( i.e. drive across the border). Is anyone know anything about crossing the border, is it safe? or is it really dangerous to fly in directly? Is there any excuse that she may be able to get around the law if she get caught? ( i.e. taking care of my grandmother becasue she is very sick, and prove it with official documets) Thanks for your help!
Any opinion would be appreciated
