What is the difference between System Analyst and Programmer/Analyst. Is the former position in the programmer track but higher than programmer? I am currently in the programmer/analyst position, can I use System analyst for the job title in the lc application form?

Thanks

From which state your Labor Cert. would be filed ?

My case is MI and my designation is shown
as Programmer Analyst, my case got messed up
because I realy don't know from where MI Labor
Dept. obtains prevailing wage for Programmer Analyst
it is way high (87K) for EB2 for the 2001.

I would suggest be specific like....

Computer Programmer
Systems Analyst

Good Luck.

link for wages..

Can anyone please post a link where i can find the preveling wages for each occupation??

Thanks in advance..

Bhshirolkar,

Your case worries me as my Labor is also sitting at MI SESA, with the same job description of Programmer Analyst and a salary of 75 K. My PD is 03/05/2002, RIR, EB3.

I however do know of my colleageus case which was certified in December. His salary was shown as 70 K, position programmer analyst, and MI SESA and Chicago DOL certified that ? Maybe being EB2 or EB3 catogory makes a difference? I don't know. But I am keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW, what happend to your case, did your lawyer/company reply, and what is their argument to this objection ?

Thanks.

salary..

Sertra2002,

My lawyer told me that the Category in which you file the green card(EB2 or EB3) will matter a lot in deciding you prevaling wage. I think for EB3 it is around 55k-65K for Programmer Analyst. So i think you will be fine with your LC if you are getting around that range.

Go for EB3 category ... it will save you from Wage related as well as Education/Experience related questions from DOL / INS.
