Switching job while I-485 pending

AC-21 case.

Filed I-140 under Sr. Software Engineer title in the software development category. Want to switch a job which is a consulting position. The new job is still in the software development field.

I think it would be ok. Just want to check with you guys.
 
if it's the same type of job, you should be fine. I am not sure about pay difference, though.

Just follow AC21 if you want to in advance or else wait till you get your EVL RFE. I'm assuming ur 140 is approved already and 6 month window of 485 is over too.
