I need your help, as a friend of mine is in serious trouble.
A company has petititioned for my friends H1 for the FY 2008 that is subject to the congressionally mandated cap ..in short, petitioned to the cap-subject(65k).
My friend has a Masters degree from US and is currently on OPT which expires in Oct'07.
He was not informed until today that his company had applied to the 65k quota and not the 20k quota ..which is cap exempt.
Is it possible to switch his H1petition from cap-subject(65k) to exempt(20k), before the computer-generated random selection is conducted for the cap-subject (65k) petitions?
Please respond asap, if you have any info. The -cap-exempt petitions (20k) are also fast filling up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
