Surrendering Indian Passport?

I became a US citizen recently and I'm wondering if I will be required to "surrender" my Indian passport. If so, what is the process?

Since India doesn't allow dual-citizenship, your Indian passport is automatically invalidated as soon as you acquire US citizenship. You don't have to surrender it, but you can send it to Indian embassy/consulate and they will officially cancel it and return it to you.
