Surname/Lastname change

Hi there,

I have to change my wife last name after wedding (yah! I am lazy to do this stuff, but I had to this now). Could anyone tell me what is the procedure change the the last name?

Please note that she got a recent H1 approval too with her last name. Does it any impact if she changes to my last name?

Help would be appreciated and thanks in advance..

I think she should go with her current passport with before marriage lastname as I belive the I-797 also has the same last name.

Getting a new one will not create any issues in Embassy provided u have well documentation like old passport along with new one etc howver there are lot of complications in getting SSN.

I suggest if you can go with same last name and later on in US get it changed once SSN has arrived.

This one is mire simpler
