I talked to IIO this morning regarding my I-140 redo situation as AVR still says same old message RFE sent on so and so date. IIO still says their system shows they have not received any reply for RFE eventhough i got a new EAC# for my amended I-140 application,then I gave my new EAC# for amended I-140, IIO checked into their system and acknowledged that they got my application. Looks like they are treating my amended I-140 as a fresh one. Then I explained whole situation like this is not a new I-140 etc.etc...Finally IIO said, they are going to put my new I-140 and I-485 put together and let office process it.
I saw couple of people got approval within a month after they respond to I-140 redo situation. I have no idea what\'s going to happen to my case. Is anybody in the similar situation?

I never received an I-140 redo RFE actually, but since I got an RFE for an employment verification letter and my company had changed it\'s name twice, my employer sent in an amended I-140 petition too along with the reply to the RFE. But so far, the reply to the RFE has not been acknowledged by the INS, and neither have I received a receipt for the anemded I-140 petition, which was sent on Oct 20, 2000 (and received by the INS on Oct 21, 200, saturday). When did you file?

Uncle Tom, I filed for amended I140 without RFE. We mailed our papers on 10/5 and the case was entered in VSC computers on 10/13. We had\'t received any receipts from VSC, so I talked to one IIO who refused to give me case no. Then I immediately called and talked to another IIO who was kind enough to give me the case no. This happenned around 10/20. My employer gave me the case no. about 1 month after filing.
I talked to IIO today and she gave me the usual \'you are the beneficiary\' story but she did say that they are processing 08/09 cases for I140. She also said that on approval this I140 will get automatically included in my pending 485 application. Although, she is the second IIO to tell me that, I personally don\'t believe that to be true.

Maybe you or your employer should try to convince them that this is not a NEW I-140 petition and that in is an amended one filed in response/anticipation of an RFE for I-485. If you can do that, I think you case will be approved faster, as I have seen a few I-140 redo cases being approved fairly quickly.
