Supporting document to expedite AP

Does anyone know what supporting document should we send in to expedite Advance Parole.I have to travel to India on a emergency basis and my AP is pending in VSC (RD 4/30).

I just called BCIS service center to clarify this and here is what they told me:
You need to submit a letter to the service center where you filed your AP application with the big size title: Expedite Request

In the letter, you need to explain the reason why you want to expedite the case. Also attach supporting documents.

They also told me personal reasons can not be considered unless it's for humanitarian reason.

Hope this helps.

If the original supporting documnet is not in English, is that ok?
Does it need to be notarized in US ? Can any guru shed some light on the detail?

once I have the supporting document, can I just go to any service center and request the Emergency AP? If approved will I be able to get official AP in the same day?

By the way can Emergency AP be used for multiple travels?

Thanks a lot

what supporting doc are you talking about jackchen? Most of them have to be in english or use a translated doc (look in BCIS site for certified translation)..
sethuchan: Get somebody from home country write a letter (email is enough- signature should give more than a nickname- I mean should give name, address, phone number etc) informing about the emergency and request for emergency AP in nearest BCIS office.

Jaxen,

Thanks for your reply. My supporting doc will be letter from hospital in my home country explaining my grandfather's got a liver cancer. So should I do the translation and do I need notarization. ~thanks
