Supporting document for I130

I am going to file I130 for my brother. Does anyone know whether plain copies of our birth certificate would be sufficient? Do I need to get notorized copies.

Ive read on the uscis website that you dont need orginal copies unless they are asked for. Just a copy, unnotorized will do. I filed for my husband, and used copies of our birth certificates.

If the birth certificate is in foreign language, be sure to provide a certified translation of it. Personally, I send the USCIS both birth certificates notarized.
