1. Support I-485 Class Action litigation:
As part of I-485 class action litigation, we have to show the affidavit of support from the class members (employment based I-485 petitioners and their dependents). Please sign the below mentioned petition to support I-485 class action lawsuit against CIS challenging the processing delays and also request your friends to sign the petition.

Background of I-485 Litigation
On 22 December 2003, ImmigrationPortal.Com, our online community and others have filed a lawsuit against United States Immigration and Citizenship Services (earlier known as INS) challenging the delays in processing of some applications for employment based immigrants.

The community had made several concerted efforts to redress this problem through the government and the legislature. Thousands of people signed and submitted several petitions, but no action was taken by the government. For a copy of one of these petitions, please see this link. Having failed in their efforts, filing a lawsuit was the only option left to the community.

ImmigrationPortal.ORG is a non-profit organization formed by members of immigrant community, who intend to voice their concerns about and help contribute towards legal immigration reform in the United States of America.
We encourage all individuals, corporations, voluntary organizations, philanthropists and eminent citizens who sympathize with the plight of legal immigrants (or victims of immigration process) to join hands with our organization and support our endeavor for this legitimate and just cause.

b. Volunteers:
The organization depends on voluntary work from people like you. We will not expect more than couple of hours a week for this voluntary work. For ex: Take the case of Fax campaigns to Congressional offices, one volunteer will prepare a template and that template will be emailed to everyone and you need to fax it to the appropriate person which takes just few minutes.
