Sunny - FP question for you

No Title

VSV,
I got a finger print notice yesterday. When I called
the IIO last week she told me that they will be issuing
a FP notice in couple of days.

Country: India
Cat: EB3
PD: 9/99
RD: 8/99
ND: 9/99
FP1: 11/99
FP2: 05/01

RB

My details -> EB3-India;RD 8/99;ND 9/99;FP 11/99;Approved 01/2000

I had asked the local senator\'s office to inquire on my behalf about the whereabouts of our application. Interestingly,TSC responded saying that they have mailed 2nd FP notices on 3/28/01 and scheduled us for 6/20/01. Also they said they are approving cases filed in 7/99 right now. All of us know that we have seen lots of cases approved well past that date. My question is:

Can we go with our old FP notices and have it done well before the scheduled date so that when they start saying that they are approving cases filed in 9/99 we are okay w/o waiting for FPs at that point?

Hi SunnyKoka and evryone,

It looks from all this discission that you guys are so selfless and helping each other. I read a story in readers digest sometime back about an elephant being injured and helped by the rest of herd. It is nice to see such a spirit to help someone unknown on this board.

May God help you too...

Sunny, and others..
I\'ve send a fax to TSC requesting for FP reprinting.
I got a reply from them that they\'re valid till 05/15/01.
I think my FP\'s got entered into the system only on Feb15\'00,even though
I gave them back in Dec1999.

So, I faxed SC explaining about the FP expire, and requesting them for 485 approval.
Also, I talked to SC IIO\'s twice..I got a fax back reply that they would arrange
for FP reprints if they expire.I requested the IIO\'s to send e-mail to suprevisor.
She said, she would send message to the unit that\'s working on this case.

It looks to me like,INS is more interested in going for FP reprints and dragging this
one,rather than approving..

My quick queston,to you all, is whether I can call the senator, and will it help.(as there are just 2 days
for the FP expiry)
I talked to the attorney, and she is of no help. She said she would try, after me asking her twice.
But, I donot think she called.

Thanks
Kabb

kabb,

There was a person called "OnTheNet" in isn.org.
His RD was 08/99, ND was 10/99 and his FP was in 12/99.
His FP was about to expire in April and his PD became current on April 1st.
He went directly to a senators office without prior appointment around March 20 2001 and explained to them about his FP expiring, etc, etc.
He got his approval on April 6th just 6 days after his PD became current.

SO MY ANSWER IS YES ! Going to a senator may help your case but it depends on your senators office.
I live in Houston and haven\'t had much luck with the senators offices in this area. They\'ve been telling me the usual story about TSC processing 07/99 cases and my ND is 08/99 blah, blah.
They asked me to contact them if I\'m not approved by June end.

In your case too its better you contact a senator right away since you have nothing to lose.

GOOD LUCK !

Thanks,

Sunny

Agree with Sunnykoka. It depends on aggressiveness of the local senator\'s office \'cos my inquiry request invoked the same kind of "yawn" that Sunny is referring to. Their response was useless and repititive \'cos who doesn\'t have an access to the service processing times page these days:-). Meanwhile,my lawyer was thinking about thinking about...faxing. Best help is self-help. Good luck.

Thanks Sunny.
I\'ve send a fax to the senators office.(Phil Gramm)
I\'ll call them once again.May be I might\'ve to sneak in as you said.

Sunnykoka/desi90210,

I called FBI this morning and to my pleasant surprise, they said they had processed my FPs and sent it to INS,Nebraska on 5/14/01. My FP was done on last Wed. That\'s quick for a change:-). Man,hoping to see the approval very eagerly! Good luck to all of you.

VSV,

I thought your case was in TSC.
How come the FBI sent it to INS, Nebraska ?

In my case, though TSC received the FP info the very next day after FBI sent it, it still took 2 weeks for the FP info to get updated in their system after FBI processed and sent it.
You might have to give your A# instead of SRC# when you talk to TSC next time, since it appears that the A# takes them to a different screen where they can see your new FP info.
If you give your SRC# they still look at some old screen where they give you the old info saying that your FP is scheduled for June XX, etc.

Thanks,

Sunny

Guys, Please let me know what is the Fax number for
requsting schedule for Finger Print redo.

My Finger print has expired on May 3rd, 2001 and when

Sunnykoka,

Yes,my case is still very much pending with TSC. They are processing 7/25/99 as of now per the idiot oops IIO that I spoke with. However,I believe that the FPs are sent to INS Nebraska (central processing unit or something like that) and they forward it to FBI for approval who then sends it to the concerned service center. That\'s what the rep at the ASC told me.

Desperado,

Try both these numbers though most of have received a response mainly from the first number. Also remember to include your fax back number so that they can fax you back any info.

Fax Numbers :- ( 214 )489-4012 and ( 214 )767-7654

VSV,

It is good to know that your 2nd FP is now at TSC. I think you can expect your approval anytime now because hopefully TSC has nothing else to hold your case back. I believe Sunny also is inthe same boat. I am still waiting for my 2nd FP notice from TSC. According to IIO, TSC has requested ASC to schedule a date for me. ASC has to get back to TSC with a date which then will be intimated to me by TSC througha FP schedule leter. Adding to these pains is that now I am on bench as my project has ended recently.

I Hope to get my Fp-redo notice soon.

good luck to you all,

Sunny and Others,
I did go to Senators office on 14th,and talked to the Immig liason person.
I explained her about my FP\'s expiring in 2 days, and asked to followup with INS,
asking for an approval. She listened to me patiently, and siad she would pursue
this matter.I also gave her the Fax back responses I got from INS.

I will try to call the Senators office on Monday,to see if anything worked out.
If this attempt did not work, then my next step would be bugging INS for 2ndFP
notice.

Thanks
Kabb

Good work kabb ! Hopefully they can get something done in the next couple of days. Its an encouraging sign that the senators office is responsive. Which city are you in ?
Read the posting by INIAN in isn.org regarding his 485 experience and how the senators office helped him. That posting should be encouraging news for you. The same text has also been posted by desi90210 in this site in a different thread about TSC processing date.

I am in Dallas.Checking AVM daily, for any "magic words".
I got a mail yesterday from INS.It said they\'re processing July\'99 cases.
It also said "Placed in process on 05/10/01,and we are currently adjudicating those
that were filed on 7/99".They should\'ve had 10/99 in place of that 05/10/01.
05/10/01 is when I started sending faxes to INS,requesting for approval.

But,I strongly feel,they would go for a 2nd FP notice..as My FP\'s expired 2 days ago.

Thanks for the quick reply,
Kabb

Looks like TSC is determined to send me a 2nd FP notice.
I got 3 letters from them, in response to my request for 485 approval.
No news from senator. So, I think I\'ve to call TSC for 2nd FP.
As someone said here, do they really wait for a week or so,in order
to see if they can approve without 2nd FP.Does anyone know
any instances like this.

Thanks,
Kris
