Guys,

I am living at the same address for almost 3 years now, and got all the INS communication on the same address, I am planning to move to a new location, in mid of July.

The new location is approximately 1.5 mile from my current location i.e State, employer etc is same, I am moving because the
the tenant who lives above me is a real pain in the ....., I hope you understand. I suspect them of stealing my mail etc, last year the check for my NJ tax return was cashed by them, as I never got it, I came to know this year, the mailbox has a lock and we share the key so there is no way someone else must have stolen it.

My questions are:

Please bear in mind that I am also one of the ... un-fortunate October-01 filer, RD 10/01 so far heard Nothing.

1. Beside filing AR-11, notifying my lawyer, change of address with USPS, is there anything else I am required to do.

2. I am hoping that I will have to go for FP again, so considering the short notice and the history of INS address update, if the notice to me gets lost in the mail, can I go with the attorney's copy for the same, and also if I don't hope so if a RFE is issued, will that come to me or to the lawyer, as if it goes to the lawyer then it is fine

3. Is there any drawback in moving at all?

I hope someone can provide me with their valuable insights.

Even if you've sent form AR-11, you need to make sure that VSC has your latest address in their computer.

hi forum123

Really are you telling true story, that he incashed your IRS cheque and you came to know that you have shared mail box after 2 years.

Please don't assume that I am what Delhi is famous for i.e. Delhi thug who roam freely in Palika bazaar, you know what I mean, and I am not talking about IRS check as I am not a moron who will not go for direct deposit, the check which was stolen was homestead rebate, which is $100 rebate NJ state issues for tenants, that is a live check with no direct deposit option.

I came to know about it when I was filing the taxes this year, as I brought the point to the HR block person and she told me that I should have received it for 2001, I called NJ tax office and they told me that they did sent the check, I was on vacation during that period, they have launced an investigation and they also sent me the copy of the cashed check, showing the signature which was showing my name but was not mine, and the other tenant is the only person has key to the mailbox, who else would have done that, the USPS guy, Delhiwala moron watch yourself before trying to blame others.

Guys come on

Someone give more suggestions about the question, I posted earlier, I am sure some of you might have gone through the same situation, thanks in advance

1)Apart from AR11, do call VSC and see to that they have your right mailing address

2)For FP, attorney's copy is as good as you get..
Experts, pls share your thoughts on this..

3)Debatable...But you should be fine..!

Good Luck

Sorry for my earlier comments, I guess I was pissed off as I am having hard time with that tenant and when I saw your comment, I thought you were trying to make fun of me, I apologize for that... No hard feelings.

Hi forum123

Take care. Be careful when you are dealing with this guy, as he is so mean that he can do fraud for just $100.
Hope to hear some good news about your GC soon.
