I have now come to know that the uscis computer software has a limited space for address. Make sure your address is concise.

As you can guess my address was little longer and as such they could not fit in my apartment number and now all my reciepts and correspondence is being sent back by the post office marked with insufficient address on it.



My questions here is
Has anyone gone through this same mess. I have tried callling the national customer center and explaining them the situtation. ......but all in vain.
They keep saying wait for next 30 days.............................

Can anyone tell me if the National customer service center gives confirmation number everytime you call.
When I called with regards to my EAD they gave me one but when my wife called they did not.

Should you ask for it?
 
Try to use POJ trick to talk to someone directly at the service center. Last time the guy there read and confirmed my address to make sure it was still valid. You should do the same. Last when I changed adresses I got a written notification of my new adress from USCIS in the mail (sure enough they had misspelled the street name again but I am guessing it is still legible enough to arrive - they switched the name 'Palm' with 'Plam'). Why do dyslexic people have to work there?????

Could you explain me the POJ trick.
Also, did get a confirmation number. It feels like the lady pickups the phone listens to you, and ..................(smirks) and then does nothing.
 
Receipt Number??

If you are looking for Receipt Number....

try looking at the back of cheque that you/lawyer sent to USCIS
 
Thats how I got my Receipt number. As mentioned in the begining post all my mails are being sent back by the post office just because the gals/guys at TSC did not put apartment number on it.
I am talking about confirmation number when you call National customer service center or rather National immigrant mocking center.
