Received my NL on the 23rd. Managed to fill ou the forms at last but can't send them yet cause i 'm really suffering with my son's pictures his 1 year old. It's the second time we took to the photographers and unfortunately each time there was something wrong.
always with the measures from the eyes to the bottom it has to be between (28 and 35 ) but i realized afterwards that it is 26 mm on my son's picture. And so i have to do it again and send the forms only on monday. I have a pretty low case number 2010EU00005*** but still i have wasted to much time already for the enveloppe from usafis. (long story too...)when i see that people sent theres in may sometimes april, i say to myself boy you r never gonna make it...
How did you guys with kids did ? it is so stressing.you know how kids are running everywhere, crying...And still i have to send the photo with the exact requirements right.

Like someone said on this forum this DV thingt is a blessing but on the other hand it complicates my already complicated life.

Are you in the USA, if so you could go to a photo shop preferred by the embassy or consulate. We did that 2 weeks ago in Miami because of our passports which was a 9hour drive without traffic jams...so it was of course way longer to get back and forward and 2 out of us 4 had to retake the picture because of the measurements...
The shop had all the exact measurements but still the consulate said the 2 were okay but could cause trouble later on and suggested to have them retaken which we did...We already had additional taken for our European drivers license since thy have the same requirements and will refuse them just as easy...

The photo requirement is a guide. If you want to put a ruler to measure every part of the head as prescribed in the guidelines, then you have a tall order ahead of you.

I don't know how strict they are but there are only two measurements aren't there? The distance from the bottom of the photo to the eyes, and the distance from the chin to the top of the hair. I don't think it's that tall an order. Personally, I would rather take an extra day or two and get it right than rush and get it wrong.

Dont care about that 2 mm, just make sure that the photos have a white background. They are aware of taking a photo of a 1 year old is not that easy.
