sue INS

Since lawyers only do stuff for money, could we not contribute say $25 each to a kitty sent thorugh pay-pal or whatever, elect amongst ourselves a senior know mwmber to handle the funds, hire a high - profile lawyer to sue the CRAP out of INS on behalf of all I-485 filers and just bug the hell out of TSC.

Somebody will do it for a good fee.

Heck, if we can include I-140 filers too we could collect a big amount, enough to make the lawyer really pursue the issue.

Somebody with the AILA executive office / someone with some weight could really make a difference.

Feedback guys...............I say let's do it!

bkd, can you elaborate, what charges do you intend to press against INS?

The thing is, no matter what charges we press (on what grounds?), their answer would be, for security reasons blah blah, and they'll take it from there.

What we can do though is, get some lawyer minds into this, who can enquire regards what they are doing and what their plan are INS through a formal/legal process, and if INS does not heed to that formal legal process, then we can move to courts. But you gotta do it step by step.

The basic concern is INS's impunity and "you can't do jack to me" attitude. *NO ONE* not even the President of the USA is unanswerable to anyone. Leave alone the most fucked up organization with enough negative public opinion already conceivable by god or man.

Right now INS is playing a double game, they are doing everything wrong in the book, but not declaring it, so *they are getting away with it*, and thats what we don't want to let them do.

I don't know if we would able to term it a "CHARGE" which is what would be needed to "sue" INS, but maybe just to bug the hell out of INS. send signed petitions to every person that matters over and over again if necessary, lawyers ( or AILA ) calling the media may have a bigger impact than "disgruntled immigrants".

The basic issue being the long delay in FP & I-485 processing at TSC ( and now at all centers ) for which Rajiv sent a petition already. He did it for free, but for a fee he or anybody else would really follow up on it.

All I am saying is that we spend $25 on beer and pizza on a saturday night. I wouldn't mind if it went to waste. But the possibility is there that $25 could go a long way in getting us all what we want.

Post your thoughts on this guys. If you don't mind spending $25,
lets do it!
