Sudden Appointment reschedule/cancellation AFTER the interview

Well, here is one that has me, my wife and our attorney a bit confused. In February we had our marriage interview, it did not seem to go very well so the immigration officer just said she had to research the case and left it at that. Now suddenly in late April we got a very short "reschedule notice" summoning us to an interview. The form ONLY asked that we bring ID and stated that "Your previous I-485 appointment has been canceled."

It is all very weird and the date is very soon so if anyone here has encountered this any info would be very very appreciated. :)

--------------------------- go for the Interview with all the papers

Thanks! Did just that and indeed it was a continuation of the previous interview. Things seemed to be going fine until the officer got stuck on bizzaro address questions, asking the same over and over despite getting the same answers back and separating me and my wife repeatedly. My lawyer spoke up thankfully and he just ended it telling us to expect a notice of intent to deny. We are all puzzled as to what the hell made him so suspicious considering all his questions were extremely basic we can't recall any mess ups from the previous interview related to addresses.

How long do these usually take and how worried should we be? Lawyer seemed confident that a good reply to the notice would straighten it all out and I'm certainly hoping for no more grueling interviews (my wife actually cried after the first one, when the officer got incredibly mean) but at the same time I can't fathom how some address issue of all things would be enough for them to want to deny us.

As your case seems to be marriage based they ask lot of questions and may be the officer is not satisfied with your answers or your wife answers to the questions he/she asked. Your lawyer was with you and knows the full details about your case and we don’t know any details or your past or your wife past details and we cant make guess why the officer is going to deny the case and you will get written notice from officer and your lawyer who filed the case and went to interview with you he should be able to handle the situation if not find other good lawyer. According to me the officer suspects the marriage is not genuine.
