I got my First H1B Visa stamped in toronto, canada

I am sharing my experience, hope this will be helpful....

I had an appointment on sept 28th in morning around 12:30PM, i am canadian permanent resident.....

I reached there half hour before my appt. then the lady in the entrance ask me to show her my appt letter and then she let me in, then i passed through security clearence, then i enter in coridoor, luckily I was 2nd in queue....then the guy took my DS 156/DS 157/passport/scotia bank recipt/I 797/appt letter and cliped all docs & put in blue file then handed back to me and allow me to enter in the main hall.....

then i stood in line i was 5th in the line, then when i reached the counter, the lady took my all doc (DS156/DS 157/passport/I 797/appt letter/scotia bank recipt) and ask me these questions:

O: which visa r u applying for?
A: H1B

then she said have a seat. I waited for 45 mins then a guy called me for finger printing, then again he said have a seat and again I waited for 45 mins....at 1:30PM another interviewer call me, i reached there, we have the following conversation:

O:which visa r u applying for?
A. H1B

O: what is ur education?
A. XXXXX

in the mean time i gave him my company papers but he didnt see my papers & in a few second he returned my docs back to me and said Well every things looks fine, and then gave me the ticket and said u can come tommorow between 3 & 4 to pick ur passsport. total time of my interview is 5 mins.

then today i reached there and picked my passport:) it was stamped

My appointment is still far (5th Dec) but i have a question in mind. Where did you get your higher degrees from USA or some other country? If it was from some other country, did you took evaluation with you?

yes my company evaluate my degree and attatch with my docs, I did my bachelors from back home.... but the officer didnt look at my any doc....

When and how did you manage to get the appointment. I am looking for the appointment for the last month, but did not find any in Toronto Consulate.
 
Hi kumar,

Can you please tell me which is the nearest SCOTIA Bank to the consulate for depositing the Visa Application fees.

I have an appointment on Nov 16th 9AM.

I will probably reach Toronto by 15th and pay the fees so that I can be in time for the next day appointment.

I have the same question. Cannot find an appointment in Toronto ?
