Hi

We had successfull CP interview at Chennai on June 24, 2004 and landed yesterday. Everything was normal. Thanks to KD, Raju and others who helped me to get this success. This form is really helpfull and special thanks to Mr. Rajiv.

Please let me know what are the next steps?.

I noticed, an immigration style photo is stapled to my passport and my wife's passport in chennai after the interview(Blue dart courior packet), at POE, the officer did not take that photo, is that normal ? or do we need to keep stapled that photo in the passport ? I appreciate your reply.

piska,

Congratualations on your success!

Stapling of this photograph is normal in view of the obvious changes between
the photograph in the passport and the current photo. Keep it stapled in the
passport.

As far as next steps, there is nothing much unless you want to call all of us
and throw a big party!!.

Just kidding. Go to the nearest SS office and apply for your SS cards.
Wait for your welcome letters and the plastic cards.

Raju

Congratulations!

Can you please share your experience.

1. What are the documents submitted?
2. How was interview - what questions they asked?

I am also planning to go CP at chennai. My company's revenue is around USD 1.35 M. will it be fine?

Thanks,
M1234

Raju, sure please come to my place for GC party.

==================

I just followed this form and very usefull.

Landed in india 5 days before interview date.

Medicals :
Went to lab 3 days before interview, collected reports on the same day evening and went to hospital. Had medicals at Dr. Vijayalakshmi, she was very nice, no problems. She gave us one vaccine (MMR), we had no previous medical records also.

Interview:

Went to Consulate at 7:30 am, had tiffin at Crystal hotel and waited in the line, went inside consulte after 8:30am. No closed files/folder are allowed. Too much screening. Called at 9:30am for docs, had interview at 10:30. It was smooth, nothing special. asked about company, my responsibilities, marriege, etc general questions. We got our passport by next day 1 pm to the hotel.

I noticed, they are very peritcular about W2s & Pay stub for the past 3 years.

piska:

Congrats on a successful cp interview. As suggested by raju invitations to party's are always welcome ... raju was joking probably but i am serious :D !
Awaiting invitations!!!

Live life king size!

Piska:
Did they ask a) I-140 approval b) I-140 petition copy c) LC copy
They are originally employers property.
My employer is little reluctant about giving copies of those.

Hey KD, Sure pl. come to detroit. Life is Kize now.

--------------------------------
with my case
They did not ask any i-140, LC approvals or any other company docs.

Going_CP

Did not ask in my case. If it is regular CP, consualte should be already having all this info.

Congrats Piska!

"I noticed, they are very peritcular about W2s & Pay stub for the past 3 years."

Do we need to carry the paystubs for 3 years? What is their expectation?

I would appreciate your reply.

Thanks..

kovaigc,
They can ask all your paystubs of your whole stay in US that is max they have did till date.

I know few of my friends have to present that but certainly not for I V.

thanks

VM1214,

Thanks once again! What if there are misses in between?

One other question, what if we have earned morethan what is stated in the labour? Will this be an issue?

Thanks..

OK, I want to clarify that it happened to my friends who went for H1 and H4 visa's not for Immigrant Visa's.

Some of them provided it as they had it and some took the help of attorney, employer/s and the pay check generating company.

Thanks
