successful interview no passport yet

Hi guys,

I had a successful interview last 13th Of May, the interviewer gave us a paper saying that the passport will be sent out in two business days, and not it has been 6 business days with no passport yet.

I have emailed the consulate and still waiting on there reply, does anyone have an idea of why it could be held up, I should also mention this is for my wife and I, so there are two passports, I am not sure if it takes longer for two people or not.

I had my interview on the Tuesday and it arrived on Friday. As they should have stuck the express post sticker on the letter you got there, it may be worth checking with Aus Post as it is trackable?

would they have told me if I was, because the interviewer said congratulations and gave us the paper the said your visa has been approved and will be sent out in 2 business days

We had a strange experience with Australia Post. The Consulate in Sydney had to send a revised appointment letter as the first one only had hubby on it. It was sent to our Post Office Box but we received it about 2 weeks later at our home address. They had included the original envelope with the PO Box address and it was all correct...so we have no clue as to why it wasn't delivered correctly.

If you have ever seen the movie Men In Black you will know that everyone who works at the Post Office are aliens! That probably doesn't help much in your situation, but I thought it was an interesting diversion

I recived them just then, it turns out the delay was because they issued the visa with a spelling mistake and had to reissue it

all done now, New york city next week

Next Week! OMG you are keen Congratulations.

Hubby received his Canadian Police Certificate today (after only 45 days - their website says it takes 120 days) so we are sending in the form and should get our visa next week. Yay!
